Chinoiserie, Mittagong - Part 1

This week's selection comes from our wonderful overnight stay at Chinoiserie B&B in Mittagong. Ray and I celebrated our 1st anniversary there and it was divine! Such lovely people who knew how to go the extra mile. A place I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who needs a getaway (for those in close proximity) from the hustle and bustle of city life: http://www.highlandsnsw.com.au/chinoiserie/
A walk in the stunning garden that Dominic tends to, was enough to give me a month of blogs! Here are just some of the images that caught my attention...
Chris and Dominic also have a page with regular updates: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Chinoiserie/387852412783

Room With A View! ;-)

I just LOVE this flower, but not sure of the
name; anyone?

I really liked this contrast...

Taken from inside the Peony Pavillion.

A dry creek bed, leaves me wondering
if it flows in the warmer months...

The front of the house; very inviting!

Lots of lovely daffodils in the front garden

Some of the wild life around the garden.

A stunning rose I just couldn't walk past!

Some more beauty from the garden, just not sure what.
Perhaps I had better get my Flora book out?

Abstract mania!

The weather let us down this weekend, so I took the challenge my sweet Ray (casually) suggested: "Walk around the house and garden... I'm sure you will be able to find something good." I did...and I liked what I saw ;-) I hope you do too!

Nora's Eagle.

2 Way abstract.

On an angle.

Which way books.

Corners and shades.

KA reflections

Mirrored scent.

Books on disc.

Rustic? Or just rusty...?

Gosford - Part 2

This lot of photos were taken within the Commemorative Garden at the Gosford Art Gallery. It was such a peaceful place to be and I didn't quite want to leave when we did... So tranquil, so serene. I hope you enjoy these photos, just imagine yourself there...

The Koi pavilion.

A lantern reflection.

A small cascade.

Some of the many Koi that call these waters home...

Stillness...

The pavilion from a different view

A duck having a rest under some shade...

A wonderful place to just be...

Just...art.

I can't resist my close-ups!

Gosford - Part 1

Gosford this weekend and what a beautiful day we were blessed with. The sun was out and the breeze was just enough the fill once's nostrils with the scent of Spring to come! Part 1 is filled with odds and ends in and around Gosford. Part 2 will be dedicated to a commemorative garden in East Gosford. Enjoy!

Water and tubes...

Pretty pink ones!

A mural on a wall in a side street that caught my eye.

Part of Gosford Primary School that is
made to look like a train station.

One of the yachts moored on the Board Water.

A duck came up towards the jetty to say 'g'day'.

A cormorant drying itself...

The rock formation along the
water was stunning!

A view into the distance.

Sails on a building by the water.

Feel free to let me know if you have a favourite photo; I would love and appreciate your feedback :-)

Parramatta - the Rivercat to the city...and back :-)

Last weekend we jumped on the Rivercat (an express ferry) to the city and back. It was a gloriously, warm winters' day and just lovely to be out on the harbour as we entered the city waters from the Parramatta river. I do hope you enjoy these photos!

The Rivercat; this one was on it's return journey from the city.

A lovely sail boat, as we were
coming into the city's harbour.

Part of the structure that is the
international boat terminal.

A sweet moment, I thought...

And the light shines in...

Some nice sail boats we passed on the way back.

The stunning Harbour Bridge.

Back on the river, time to reflect...

Another bridge, this one with a touch of a rainbow above it.

The sun starting to make it's journey down.
